Journey to End Arachne’s Reign of Terror

Rumors speak of a hidden path buried deep within the lair of Arachne. To reach it, adventures must first locate the Shrine of Arachne.

This unholy shrine pulses with dark energy, a sacred site used by the cult to commune with their goddess. To proceed, the shrine must be destroyed.

Once the shrine is shattered, a hidden tunnel will be revealed beneath its ruins. This narrow descent leads into the Venomweb Pass, a perilous stretch of forgotten tunnels and twisted silk.

Successfully trekking through Venomweb Pass will lead you to the Chapel of the Silk.

Face off against the highest ranking members of Arachne’s cult.

Defeat the cultists guarding the Chapel of the Silk to reveal an entrance to an underground lair!

The Silken Abyss is where Arachne herself resides. Defeat the evil arachnid guarding this putrid lair.

Once all the guards are defeated, Arachne herself will appear in her human form.

Once she is defeated she will retreat to her secret sanctuary.

Follow her for one more fight!

Force Arachne to come out of hiding by destroying her eggs!

Exterminate this evil spider Goddess for good!

Arachne’s Loot

Arachne’s chest is only available by killing Arachne, and can be kept to be used as a container. Inside the chest can be one random epic from the Arachne’s Lair loot table or a Widow’s Carapace Chest.

Widow’s Carapace Armor

Players who receives an “Arachne’s Chest” will have a 1 in 6 chance to get a “Widow’s Carapace Chest”. Opening the chest will reward the player with a random piece of “Widows Carapace” armor.

Arachne’s Black Heart

Each time Arachne is vanquished in her spider form, she will drop her black heart. Collecting 25 will grant you an Effigy of Arachne.

Legendary statue of Arachne!

Completed statues will have a 1 in 4 chance of being colored randomly.

The combinable will take on different forms as you add more hearts. So you can display your work in progress!

Rescue prisoners from becoming a meal.

Locate the Feasting Grotto Altar. The portal is only available at feeding times, so keep an eye out for the button!

Touch the gem to open the portal to the Feasting Grotto.

The prisoners are being kept in a special prison with a magical lock.

The prison door can only be picked open when all of Arachne’s army is cleared from the Grotto.

The prison door will turn a bright silver when the magic barrier is down.

Release the prisoners! There is a chance a maelstrom nightmare is among the prisoners!

Once you find the maelstrom nightmare, you can tame it and ride off into the sunset!

Spider Chow Tree

Spider chow trees are used to feed the young spider broodlings. You can make your own with the ingredients found inside Arachne’s Lair. This is a turnable container that will add a sinister flair to your home.

Arachne’s Suit of Armor

Earn this legendary suit of armor by killing Arachne’s human cultist members.

Cultists will drop an Arachne’s membership scroll every time.

Widow’s Silk Cloth

Collect 10 widow’s silk from any member of Arachne’s army.

…or by breaking open cocoons and spider nests.

Once you collect 10 widow’s silk, take them to the tailor shop in Vesper. There is a special loom here that only works with widows silk.

You’ll be rewarded with a yard of widow’s silk cloth.

Silken Toga of Arachne

Collect 100 spools of Arachne’s silk to make a legendary “Silken Togo of Arachne”. Spools of Arachne’s silk can drop from any of Arachne’s elite warriors.

Widow Weave Pottery

Deep within Arachne’s lair lies a rare and coveted material: Widow Weave Clay — a dense, greyish-white clay enriched with strands of spider silk. This strange mixture gives the clay an eerie sheen, making it highly sought after by skilled artisans.

Collect 10 lumps of Widow Weave Clay and bring them to the special pottery wheel in Vesper, a unique crafting station that only responds to this silk-infused material.

You will be rewarded with a random piece of Widow Weave Pottery — beautiful, functional containers with a special interior look, perfect for collectors and decorators.

Widow’s Bloom Traps

Scattered throughout Arachne’s twisted domain is a vile plant known as the Widow’s Bloom. Disturbing the bloom triggers it’s violent defense: it erupts in a burst of corrosive acid, spraying a toxic liquid that eats away at flesh.

Clever adventurers can use Widow’s Bloom as a trap, luring unsuspecting adventurers into its radius. Once triggered, it leaves a lingering pool of venomous acid that deals damage over time to anyone caught within.
